Avi earned his diploma in TCM [Traditional Chinese Medicine] from the four-year program at the Academy of Classical Oriental Sciences in Nelson, British Columbia. He observed and then interned at the ACOS student clinic, providing supervised treatments. Prior to attending, he had received his BA from Rutgers University in East Asian Studies, studying the Chinese language. He is currently a New Jersey licensed and practicing acupuncturist, and was board certified by the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, as a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine [Dipl. O.M. (NCCAOM)].

Acupuncture can painlessly and effectively:
-facilitate weight loss, improve digestion/GI tract
-curb addictions [smoking, alcohol]
-eliminate stress [anxiety, insomnia, headaches]
-improve the immune system [colds, flu, lethargy and nausea from chemotherapy, preventive]
-help to heal soft tissue injury [joint and muscle pain, back pain, muscle spasms, tendonitis, cramps, neck pain, strains]
*and much more!
Though sometimes only one or two treatments may be needed, conditions may not necessarily immediately improve. This depends on a number of factors like:
-how severe the disease might be [organs/systems affected, symptom severity, any associated risks as advised by your Physician [MD] or Naturopath/Chiropractor],
-the 'aging' process [oxidation in cells may prolong recovery time], state of diet [fresh, organic food and water vs packaged/processed/microwaved food and sugary drinks],
-how much sunlight [natural vitamin D] and exercise [including breathing, posture, and stretching] you are getting, and of course,
-consistency of rescheduling treatments: Acupuncture seems to require a closely spaced, consistent [consecutive] regimen to activate endogenous healing chemicals [made by the body] to a sufficient level in the bloodstream that will benefit, called the "steady state."
